This is a very heated argument among certain parts of the gaming community, so I figured I would use this article to give some of my thoughts on the topic. Specifically, I uncovered a debate about the role of randomness in games, and whether it makes them more or less skill based. I was going to use that article to talk about what it means to have solved a game, different games that have been solved, things like that.ĭuring my research, however, I uncovered what I believe to be a much more compelling issue.
